Peter Obi Redefines OBIdient Movement

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has revisited, revised, refined and redefined the OBIdient movement in response to the opposition parties’ constant criticism.

Mr. Peter Obi had received criticisms from the anti Obi for President who have accused Obi’s OBIdients of being political extremists and more.

Peter Obi, the former Anambra State Governor, however, gave the movement a new definition on Saturday via his verified Twitter handle.

Charityreporters.com reports that the “Obidient” movement is a group of Nigerians who have sworn allegiance to Obi, however they have recently come under fire from opposing party members who accuse them of being irrationally enraged and harassing non-supporters online.

In the meantime, Bola Tinubu’s campaign for president of the All Progressives Congress, APC, recently requested that Peter Obi, a candidate for president of the Labour Party, LP, instruct his supporters to stop disseminating incorrect information.

Speaking on behalf of the former governor of Lagos State, Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Communications for the Tinubu Campaign Organization (TCO), claimed that LP backers had been disseminating false information to the public, harming the APC candidate’s reputation.

An previous story said that the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, wrote a letter to the APC presidential candidate pleading with him to resign so that Peter Obi may run and take care of his health.

Later, Akufo-Addo refuted the report.

Reacting to the news, the TCO media Director asked Obi to restrain his supporters who are damaging his principal’s reputation.

“We have come to a point where it becomes imperative to tell Obi to show leadership and disavow his supporters who are employing fake news and disinformation as deliberate tools to deceive and poison the minds of unsuspecting Nigerians,” Onanuga stated.

Peter Obi had also come under fire by the PDP’s Vice Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa for visiting churches for campaign, a claim Peter Obi refuted through his Media Chief, slamming Okowa for blaming him for honoring programs and invitations.
