Sanwo-Olu Appoints Olalekan As Acting GM For LASTMA
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Bakare Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager (GM) of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) with immediate effect.
Tha Media aide to the Governor, Jubril Gawat, disclosed this on his X handle on the Friday, November 24.
He wrote: “Governor of Lagos State, has approved the appointment of Mr Bakare Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager (GM) of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) with immediate effect.
“Born in Lagos Island and a dedicated servant of the Lagos State since 2000, Mr. Olalekan has risen through the ranks with a steadfast commitment to excellence and leadership.
“With his recent role as Deputy Director, Grade Level 16, and a seasoned background as Director of the Logistics & Engineering Department, he has demonstrated exceptional expertise in logistics, fleet management, and operational strategy across LASTMA’s extensive network.
“The accolades he has received, includes; Best Zonal Head of the Year’ and ‘Best Area Commander/Outstanding Leader of the Year,’ reflects his unwavering dedication to service.
“Bakare holds a Masters in Transport Management/Planning from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University.”
