Access to quality healthcare plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the health of individuals. It encompasses a broad range of services, including preventive care, early diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and ongoing management of chronic conditions. The quality of care provided is determined by factors such as the competence of healthcare professionals, the availability of resources, and the effectiveness of healthcare systems.

Access to quality healthcare is not just about having the right facilities or the latest medical technology. It is about ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care and treatment, and that they are treated with dignity and respect. Quality healthcare involves taking a holistic approach to patient care, looking beyond the physical symptoms of an illness to consider the patient’s social, emotional, and psychological well-being.

The impact of quality healthcare on a person’s overall well-being cannot be overstated. Good health is essential for leading a fulfilling life, and quality healthcare is critical in achieving this. People who have access to quality healthcare are more likely to live longer, healthier lives, and are less likely to experience serious health problems or disabilities. They are also more likely to be able to participate fully in their communities, families, and workplaces.

However, access to quality healthcare is not always easy, especially for those who are living in poverty or marginalized communities. These individuals are often more susceptible to illnesses and face barriers to accessing healthcare, such as a lack of insurance, limited financial resources, and inadequate health services. Therefore, it is important that governments, healthcare providers, other stakeholders and state actors/players, work together to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances, however, again, it is due to inability of some governments, well meaning individuals and organization in properly managing the health care system that usually lead to so much mortality.

It is on the above premise that the popular UK based charitable, non governmental organization, the most effective in the East of the Niger, The Maurice Akueme Foundation decides to role out funds to support, insure the well being of Enugu youths.
