Charity Reporters in an Exclusive Interview With Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme; Answers Are Very Mind Blowing
Charity Reporters: Please may we meet you ?
Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme: I’m Maurice Emeka Akueme, President/Founder: The Maurice Akueme Foundation (MAF)
Charity Reporters: Are you a philanthropist or a politician ?
Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme: I’m passionate about creating a better world so yes, you can say I’m a philanthropist. I’m not professionally involved in politics and also not yet a holder of an elected office, so you cannot say I’m a politician.
Charity Reporters: What inspired the founding of The Maurice Akueme Foundation ?
Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme: Lots of different things influenced my decision to start the foundation. The core motivator was the fact that I found (and still find) the inequality and injustices in the world overwhelming at times and wanted to do something proactive to help; Starting a charitable organisation seemed a good way to do that.
Charity Reporters: We also learnt that you founded a group known as Njiko4Gburus, this to us seem like a political organization; now, how do you explain this as a philanthropist ?
Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme: Njiko4Gburus – Njikokamma Movement For Gburugburu is basically a support group. It’s a way of showing appreciation, loyalty and support to the administration of our dear State Governor, Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Charity Reporters: What are some of the notable things The Maurice Akueme Foundation have done. What do you think of The Maurice Akueme Foundation in the future ?

In the future, I see MAF partnering with foreign investors with a view to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) which will in turn provide massive opportunities for our teeming youths.
Charity Reporters: You have a lot of team members in Nigeria, are you proud of them ?
Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme: Actually, well over 300 team members all over the country. I’m very proud of them because everyone works so hard and understand that charity is not just about giving but also making a difference.
Keep up with Charity Reporters for these and more.
