In a tweet via her X handle, Vee Iye critically observed that the challenging economy in Lagos is driving individuals, whom she referred to as “mentally unstable” into entrepreneurship.
She lamented the lack of genuine passion, knowledge, or skills among many new business owners, pointing out that their primary focus seems to be solely on monetary gain.
This trend, according to Vee Iye, is resulting in businesses run by ill-equipped individuals, both at the ownership and staff levels.
She said: “The economy has forced a lot of mad people into becoming entrepreneurs. Now we have a bunch of idiots starting a business and hiring other idiots as staff. No passion, knowledge, or skill. Just money on their minds. God help us.
