Ahead of 2023 General Elections, a formidable and leading political support group, Enugu North Structural Movement, Friday, inaugurated its executives at the zonal, local, ward and community levels with the sole aim of spreading its tentacles across the six local governments in the zone.

In his opening remark, the Director General, Comr. Onah Joseph Onyemaechi JP, welcomed the leadership at all levels, he thanked them for their efforts and sacrifices towards the growth of the group. He said that the group has concluded arrangement to ensure that many women and young persons who are often laid back in political participation despite having significant population are mobilized. “The sterling quality the group possess is that, we go down to the grassroots and ensure that no one is left untouched through our well structured formation”.

The executives at various levels were inaugurated and charged to perform their duties diligently and structurally to ensure victory for the party, PDP in 2023.

About ENSM

ENSM was designed to ensure large scale mobilization efforts across nook and crannies in all the six local governments in Enugu North Senatorial district. It also aims to clear erroneous impressions about the party and her candidates in the upcoming polls. The DG stated that the inauguration was not for the fun of it but for them to kick-start mobilization across the six local governments areas in Enugu North.

After the interactive session among the members, the DG tasked the newly inaugurated executives, members of of the Structure to mobilize and campaign intensively in order to deliver its target of ensuring that PDP is victorious in the 2023 general election.

The group appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi for his positive impacts in Enugu state, especially in the zone, Enugu North Senatorial zone, infrastructural interventions, roads constructions, University at Igbo Ano, Polytechnic at Ohodo, Nsukka Township Stadium, hospitals, the peaceful condition of the state and more. The group unanimously passed vote of confidence and endorsed the governor’s senatorial bid to represent the zone in the national assembly in 2023. The group also endorsed the party’s governorship candidate, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.

Comrade Princewill Ugwu, the NYCN Public Relations Officer who witnessed the event, congratulated the newly inaugurated excos and charged them to campaign for all PDP candidates in the state. He advised the excos and members of the group not to be scared nor be intimidated; but to remain peaceful, respectful, humble, law abiding and firm to ensure that the ideals of their principal are properly taken to the grassroots and protected.
