Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme Joins Forces With Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to Launch the Mother of all Medical Outreaches in Ukana, Awhum, Okpatu and Environs

10th July, 2021 saw the mother of all other medical outreaches in Ukana as it continues to extend to other communities within its environs.

According to Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme a well recognised philanthropist “Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi can’t be doing all these alone”

It is on the above statement that Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme decided to partner with the GburusCare Initiative under the approval of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to give the good people of Ukana and its environs portable health care services.

The elderly people of Awhum, Abor, Ukana, Okpatu in Udi Local Government Area praised Chief Akueme for not just providing health care services for them but for also providing the foundation’s vehicles and other sources of transportation which conveyed them to and fro.

Unarguably the active team of the GCI joined forces with the assiduous team of the Maurice Akueme Foundation to organize the mother, most announced and well attended medical outreach in Ukana while it lasts.

Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has always shown concern to the needy with much emphasis on the welfare and health of the people especially the old in the society.

A clear example of how he has spent millions on providing healthcare services to people by footing hospital bills, donation of funds for the sick and most recently his funding of a lady in Ezeagu for a major surgery with a follow up care provision and donation of N100,000 to care for the bill of a sick woman in Awgu Local Government Area.

During an interview with Charity Reporters TV, Chief Akueme made it known that he doesn’t earn so much but he will continue to give alms from the little he earns, he called on other well meaning sons and daughters of Enugu State to follow suit to make Enugu State and Nigeria a better place by giving alms.

He further explained that such alms will ameliorate hardship, reduce poverty and make the people feel an indirect impact of the government.

He said he will continue to support Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Government to ensure that the people gets a better life.
