Lagos State Police Command Faces Criticism as Two Months Pass Without Official Autopsy Results for the Late MohBad

Lagos State Police Command…..

In a surprising turn of events, the Lagos State Police Command has not yet received the autopsy report for the late singer, MohBad, two months after initiating the examination. MohBad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba, met an untimely death on September 12, sparking controversy and a thorough investigation by the police.

Despite an earlier announcement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in September that the autopsy had been concluded, the official report is still pending. Questions linger as the delay in releasing crucial information raises concerns about the transparency of the investigation.

The investigation team had linked MohBad’s murder to several suspects, including a nurse named Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who allegedly administered three injections to the late singer on the fateful day. Former Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa was also named among the main suspects.

Charges were filed against some of the suspects, but recent developments saw the release of singers Naira Marley and Sam Larry after fulfilling their bail requirements. The police had taken them into custody following the circulation of footage showing the late singer being assaulted, adding another layer of complexity to the case.

Amidst growing impatience, Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda took to social media to appeal to the police for the swift release of MohBad’s body. He emphasized the need for a dignified funeral arrangement and urged the police to disclose the autopsy results promptly.

Responding to queries about the delayed autopsy report, Hundeyin clarified that the report had not been officially handed over to the police. He stated that only the singer’s family lawyer could request the pathologists to release the results or it would be independently provided to the police when ready.
