Empowerment, is one of the most important things for improving our world. There is not just one single type of empowerment; we all need to be emotionally, physically, and spiritually empowered.

We can find many different personalities who have shown you a difference even a single person can make if he empowers himself and uses that to make the world a better place; these, Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has done.

We need to learn from these people and make our own paths. Some of the inspirational, positive, strong, and empowering acts below capture the essence of empowerment coming from a philanthropist Maurice Emeka Akueme which he does in fulfilment of his promise to continue to support the government of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; the peace loving Governor of Enugu State.

The Maurice Akueme Foundation; despite it’s founder’s political ambition for the Senate to represent Enugu West Senatorial zone— has continuously met up with the expectations of the people in delivering humanitarian services such as business empowerment for youths and entrepreneurs, students support, bursary and scholarship, widows housing scheme, senior citizens welfare care, health care, and more, most recent was his several empowerments during MAF-Tuesday empowerment day in his Enugu Head Office where students and entrepreneurs were empowered in different capacities such as Empowerment and Student Support.

National Association of Nigeiran (NANS) was empowered with N100,000 under the aegis of the Maurice Akueme Foundation Empowerment Program for students.

National Council of Enugu State Students (NACESS) was empowered with N500,000 as well through the MAF student support project.

Chief Maurice Akueme also empowered a female student Miss Agu Eunuce with N100,000 Whom he identified as hard working, talented, skilled entrepreneur that prefers to work hard than toil the immoral way. Eunice produces perfumes.

He also empowered a female barber Miss Nwankwo Ifesinachi who was previleged to shave him with N50,000. Akueme narrated that he went to ShopRite for a shave, the female barber approached him and he gave her consent, he said he was given a decent shave and so he decided to encourage the craft woman with N50,000 to get some tools and get set to become a CEO.

About 5 other indigent students were individually funded to support school fees.

Charity is the voluntary giving of help, typically in the form of money, material things to those in need. This and more makes Maurice Emeka Akueme an addicted humanitarian.
