Maurice Akueme Foundation inaugurates Eke Chapter.

Joy overflowed in the prominent town of Eke on Sunday 27th September, 2020 when the Maurice Akueme Foundation inaugurated a new chapter in Eke.

The program which got a lot of sons and daughters of Eke from different works of life, from all the villages in Eke was a memorable one.

Held at the town hall of Nkwo Eke, five executive members were inaugurated to represent the Maurice Akueme Foundation in Eke.

Eke is one of the sons of Oshie clan in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The Eke inauguration have been the most announced and publicized in recent times, its widely made publicity had brought not less than 200 new converts into MAF.

Testimonies were given by those who had known about MAF but have waited patiently for it to arrive their home, Eke.

In an introductory statement before the arrival of the National Coordinator and his team, Mr Okadigbo Onwuakpa Augustine the convener who is from Eke had engaged the latest Mafites by explaining to them what MAF is all about and who Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme is.

On the arrival of the National coordinator and his team which included Lady Amaka Ozougwu the Chief Welfare Officer, Mr. JohnPaul Akueme the MAF ICT Director who also doubles as the secretary and Amb Enemoh Ikechukwu the MAF Media and Publicity Director.

Ikechukwu is an indigene of Eke from Ogui-Agu, they were introduced by the Eke chapter coordinator Mr Okadigbo Onwuakpa Augustine.

Lady Amaka Ozougwu took the floor to introduce MAF further, she gave a highlight on the activities of MAF.

She encouraged ndi Eke not to give up, but to remain steadfast in following MAF.

Mr. Johnpaul also made his speech basically on the MAF ICT and Resource Center.

He highlighted on the first set of computer trainees and how well they are doing.

Johnpaul said adults and children are admitted to receive the training after which they will be graduated to become computer gurus in the society.

The National Coordinator Honorable Mike CJ Madu in his remark appreciated Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme for providing such an opportunity in MAF to alleviate, palliate and empower people.

He thanked the men, women, youths and children who made out time to grace the occasion and promised them that MAF as a Nation is ever ready to aid and partner with ndi Eke as long as such desire is verifiable.

Hon Mike highlighted on some past projects that has been sponsored by MAF.

He talked about other plans such as construction of units of lavatories in Ukana and Affa, construction of bus stop in Eke, provision of school buses for MAF kids, quiz competition for secondary school students and many more.

He also briefed about the MAF Artist of the week and encouraged ndi Eke to bring their people who are talented to grab the opportunity of becoming the next superstar.

Honorable Madu conducted the inauguration while doing that, he ensured that all the five communities in Eke was represented by the five newly inaugurated executive members.

The founder/president Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme who was present during the inauguration via a video call expressed his heartfelt joy over a successful inauguration.

He thanked all who came and encouraged them to be active and to always attend chapter meetings/fellowship and to emulate MAF in palliating, alleviating and empowering.

Also present during the inauguration was Chiefs and village heads, youths, men, women and children of Eke descend.

The newly inaugurated members of MAF Eke executive includes;

Mr. Onwuakpa Augustine Okadigbo as the coordinator

Lady Angela C. Enemoh as the woman leader.

Ozoude Chioma Racheal as the Welfare officer

Ebue Chekwube Emmanuel as the youth leader.

Lady Onwuakpa as the secretary.

In conclusion, the MAF Eke coordinator Mr. Onwuakpa congratulated the Maurice Akueme Foundation for finding Eke worthy of being part of her activities.

Onwuakpa pledged to do all things according to the principles on which the foundation was founded.

Congratulating all who attended; he gave special appreciation to Eke town chiefs who provided the environment.

He also thanked Eke youths who ensured a peaceful session and in general he appreciated the entire people of Eke.

Ndi Eke were encouraged to always attend meetings which will hold on every Uka Nkwo.
