Njikokamma Movement for Gburugburu Hails Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Over School Resumption.
Enugu State Government reopens all state and private tertiary institutions in the state from October 12, 2020.
The Enugu State Government has announced the resumption of all state and private owned tertiary institutions in the state.
With directives mandating the management of each of the institutions to announce specific date of resumption of academic activities “when the approved guidelines for COVID-19 have been met”.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Prof Uche Eze “The State Ministry of Education has set up a monitoring team to ensure that every institution abides by the approved guidelines for safe operations in our schools”.
In reaction to this development, the Director General; Njikokamma Movement for Gburugburu who also doubles as the National Coordinator; Maurice Akueme Foundation Honorable Mike CJ Madu has lauded the Executive Governor of Enugu state for taking such a bold step.
He said; “the continuous keeping of our children at home may lead to increase in crime as most of them have been idle.
I am not surprised, our working governor have been on his toes to ensure that the battle against the pandemic gets to every nook and cranny of the state which drastically curbed the fatality rate in the state.
I enjoin all to support this move by His Excellency by abiding by the outlined guidelines for reopening of schools”.
Recall that for over six months, students have been at home following the outbreak of the corona virus disease and the mandatory lockdown by the Federal Government.
All students should prepare to return to school however bearing in mind that all school activities will resume in full.
