With the proactive way in which the founder/ president MAF Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme (JP) has touched lives and empowered the Youths all over the country and beyond, it’s not surprising that floods of award in recognition of this enviable feats keep pouring in day in day out from media organizations, student bodies and many more.
The recent one organized by Pacesetter Frontier Magazine at its Annual Public Lecture Series and Awards with the theme The Power Of Purpose: Ambition For Common Good And Our Culture Of Silence And Endurance, whose keynote speaker was Prof. Okey Ikechukwu MNI, Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme (JP) was once again honored with a Humanitarian Service Award alongside the likes of Governor Nyesom Wike (CON), Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Prof. Lazarus Ekwueme, Dr. Dorothy Jeff-Nnamai, The Rotary Foundation, Dr. David Okelue Ugwunta, Mrs Adaonah Kene-Uyanwune, Chief Pete Edochie (MON), Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa, Chief Uchenna Cyril Anioke, Asisat Lamina Oshoala (MON), Okeoga Darlington, Sir Ogochukwu Nnamdi Ekwueme, Chief Engr. Donald Ekete, and Prof. Okey Ikechukwu MNI, who received awards in various categories.
The occasion was widely attended by different dignitaries in and around the state, varying from traditional Rulers, Clergymen, Governorship aspirants from the different political parties in the state, Ken Ugwu Nnamani, President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2005 to 2007 was also in attendance.
The Maurice Akueme Foundation (MAF) as a tool of philanthropy which the founder/president MAF Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has used to impact and effect the lives of many, has up till now remained awe striking.
The MAF boss has so long used personal funds to do exploits in the phase of charity, philanthropy, Youth empowerment and in reaching out to the downtrodden,IDP’s, and especially in the grassroots were he has become a household name.
Indeed the Maurice Akueme Foundation is doing well and With the tendencies to do even more, the most consistent charitable organization in the east of the Niger, many organizations student bodies have given testimonials as regards the founder/ president MAF Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme‘s philanthropic journey and charitable donations.
Recognition is a reward in itself. Any form of appreciation, even a small word, is important.
I only think that awards are important to everybody and if not that, a nomination serves as a recognition and a positive drive to do better work.
But being recognized and given multiple awards as the case of Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme proves that this man has indeed done an exceptionally wonderful job.
