Udi LG Boss, Nzeh Philip Okoh Takes Drastic Measures To Stop Insecurity, Kidnapping In The Area

Responding on the front foot to the recent upsurge in the activities of Kidnappers around Udi, the Wartime Mayor of Udi LGA, Hon. Nze Philip N. Okoh, living up to expectations have literally taken the fight to the bald heads.

The Chairman has procured a Sienna vehicle which he donated to the Military to enhance daily operations in the Udi-Nvene-4 Corner axis.

This is in addition to the almost fully constructed Military checkpoint building in that axis.

The Mayor has fully mobilized the Neighbourhood Watch Group and the Police along the Nsude/Obioma boarders which has become another favorite spot for the operations of the Kidnappers.

Similarly, vulnerable parts of Udi, North and South have witnessed wholesale clearance by heavy duty Bulldozers to clear all bushes and shrubs along the routes as well as other security systems reinforcements.

Weeks ago, there have been loud outcry and warning to transporters and road users not to ply the Udi-Nvene-4corner route as a result of kidnapping, among other social vices, even recently, there have been reports of kidnap cases along same road and Nsude/Obioma axis. These, the military has yet to make any statement nor press release, even as fingers have continually pointed at the GOC of 82 division for having a hand in the many insecurity issues within the state and as such have called for his immediate removal or transfer.

The Development from the Office of the Udi LG Chairman was made available to press men by Engr Eneiga FPI who is the SPA on Media and Publicity to the Mayor.
