Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme’s First Visit to MAF Head Office in Nigeria….

Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has visited Nigeria ahead of the Maurice Akueme Foundation/Njikokamma Movement For Gburugburu Annual Convention.

He took a brief visit to his office the head quarters of The Maurice Akueme Foundation at 96 Zik Avenue.

He was welcomed by the SVP Operations Hon. Offia Kingsley, SVP Admin Mr. JohnPaul Akueme, The VP Grassroots Madam Ngozi Odenigbo, VP Media Comr. Chris Ikechukwu Enemoh, VP Girls Club Empowerment Initiatives, Udi, Ezeagu, Aninri, Awgu, Oji River Directors of Operation(DoO) and other members of the foundation.

Hon. Comr. Emmanuel Onwuegbu the Special Assistant on Youth Development to The Udi Local Government Chairman was also present.

Chief Maurice Akueme who is already familiar with all his officers did a familiarization exercise by identifying everybody present by their names.

 

He hailed the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the unprecedented development brought to the state under six years in office.

He also assured Gov. Ugwuanyi of continuous support to his government.

Chief Maurice expressed happiness seeing the members of his foundation all wearing smiling faces

Addressing the MAFites, the SVP Hon. Offia moved a motion appealing that Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme should contest for Senate to represent Enugu West Senatorial Zone in the Red Chambers of Nigeria.

He said if Chief Maurice can do all he’s been doing with personal funds then he should be given access to public opportunities to deliver.

The motion was seconded by Comr. Onwuegbu and was endorsed by other youth leaders who were present.

Onwuegbu also seized the opportunity to present to Chief Akueme The “Udi Youth Leadership Summit”, progress so far and to appreciate him for sponsoring the forthcoming event.

In response Chief Akueme said that it is not a sin to be ambitious as its his civil right to vote and be voted for but however all his loyalty lies with the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who has the final say.

Speaking further he named some of his plans for Enugu youths through foreign partnership and promised to fulfill all of them whether politics or not.

Other highlights of the meeting includes;

Presentation of detailed account of MAF activities from various departments, Local Government Areas and chapters.
