Commandant’s Wife Rescued From Kidnappers…..

The kidnapped wife of the Head of Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Apollos Dandaura, has been rescued.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Corps spokesperson, Olusola Odumosu, on Friday.

Victoria Dandaura was kidnapped at her residence in Gidi-Gidi, around Cattle market, Lafia, Nasarawa State on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at about 7 pm in the evening by gunmen who stormed her residence and shot sporadically in the air before whisking her away forcefully at gunpoint.

However, according to the statement, Victoria was rescued at about 9:20 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022, in Lafia, after a successful joint operation by a combined tactical component comprising of the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, NSCDC Counter Terrorism Operatives and NSCDC Special Female Squad in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commandant General, NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, appreciated the efforts, maximum support, and cooperation sister security agencies rendered in this rescue operation.

He assured the general public that the Corps under his watch will continue to protect lives, properties, and all critical national infrastructure in the country.

Meanwhile, the CG’s younger brother, Ezekiel Dandaura, personnel of the Corps serving in Nasarawa State Command who sustained gunshot injuries in the cause of the attack, is still receiving treatment in a hospital facility and is in stable condition.
