ENUGU Council Polls: Security Personnels Recover Bodies Of Unknown Gunmen Killed In Enugu, Recover Arms
A joint security operatives have recovered the bodies of the gunmen who killed people in Enugu State recently.
According to our reliable security source, the bodies were recovered at Centenary City area when their members were taking their bodies to be buried.
According to the security source: “We have recovered the bodies of the unknown gunmen that wrecked havoc in a polling centre at Nkanu West yesterday during the just concluded local government elections.
“Their bodies were recovered early this morning as they were being conveyed in a tipper when the joint security team that were deployed to the area stopped them and recovered the body. Though they managed to escape but with serious gun injuries and I can assure you we will get them down.
“The team also recovered many Ak-47 rifles, pump action and other items that looks like charms,” he said.
Recall, Gunmen had attacked a polling unit at Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area killing skills and denting vehicles ablaze during the local government council elections.
The exercise was generally peaceful and witnessed huge turnout of voters apart from the Akpugo gunmen attack.
