“I met you in 2021, during the first edition of my mentorship program. During the program I observed first your dressing as a proud son of Igboland. But it was your conduct, your decorum, your confidence and words that singled you out as one of those God was preparing for the future.

“From then, as someone with passion for grooming young men/women with potentials for leadership, I took a keen interest in you. And you never disappointed me with your dispositions, the kind of inquiries you make and the values you stood for.

“The day I received the news of your demise, it was a rude shock. But it was on that day that I discovered I was not the only one who saw the greatness in you. Your peers mourned, the Igbo community mourned, the political class mourned, your family and community mourned. You are greatly missed.

“Yesterday I joined a host of friends, family, the Kegites club International and your numerous admirers to lay you to rest. Finally, it’s true. You are gone. A great loss for mankind.

“Travel in peace brother. At just 24, you are leaving behind huge impacts and impressions. Only God knows why you have to go this soon and we can’t question Him.

Rest in Peace Kene😭.”
