Kwankwaso Picks Running Mate
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has picked a Lagos lawyer, Ladipo Johnson, as his running-mate for the 2023 election.
Mr Johnson was a former governorship candidate of the Alliance National Party, ANP, in Lagos State before joining NNPP.
The party made the announcement through its official Twitter handle @nnpphqabuja1.
“Road to 2023: Bar Ladipo Johnson is the Vice Presidential candidate of our great party,” the party tweeted.
It is however unclear whether Mr Johnson was nominated as a Pro Tem Running mate or substantive vice presidential candidate.
However, according to a broadcast on BBC Hausa, the Presidential flag bearer of the NNPP, Senator Kwankwaso had revealed that negotiations are still ongoing for a merger with Peter Obi’s Labour Party, we expect that the news will soon drop.
Charity Reporters had published that, June 16, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, unveiled the governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running-mate.
Charity Reporters also published that, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Bola Tinubu had reportedly submitted Ibrahim Masari as his Pro Tem running-mate.
