National Council of Enugu State Students[NACESS] Accompanies Patron Chief Maurice Akueme to Identify With Council’s Royal Father; HRH Igwe Emma Ugwu

The leadership of the National Council of Enugu State Students has accompanied one of its most revered patron Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme to identify with the council’s Patron and Royal Father HRH Igwe Emma Ugwu Ezeokwe 1 of Ibagwa Kingdom.
According to Chief Akueme, he visited the palace of HRH Igwe Emma Ugwu Ezeokwe 1 of Ibagwa Nike to identify with him and also to thank him for his numerous contributions and fatherly roles to the student and youth constituency and of course his resounding role in the security and peace of our dear state; Enugu.
This occured during one of Akueme’s visits to Nigeria when he demanded to identify with the council’s most sought and talked about patron and Royal Father.
The president of NACESS; Comr. Onah J. Onyemaechi JP while presenting Akueme to the King noted that Chief Maurice the UK based Philanthropist has been most resourceful to the council.
He said, Akueme does good without looking back, he listed some of those impacts from Akueme’s goodwill as it affects the council’s positive growth directly or indirectly including; bursary, scholarship, Palliatives and student empowerment.
He also stated some of the remarkable community projects that have been carried out by Akueme through his Maurice Akueme Foundation in various communities in Enugu State.
HRH Igwe Emma Ugwu on hearing the wonderful feats of Maurice Emeka Akueme immediately announced his adoption of the patron as his own son and child of his community.

He said; “I identify with men of goodwill and you are one and if we have four more of your kind, our state will be a better society to live in and on this note; I hereby adopt you as an illustrous son of Ibagwa Nike and my own son before the traditional prime minister of this kingdom and henceforth you are one of us.
“I have particularly heard so much about you and today we have met, never give up in all you do for your reward will come only from God.
God will continue to see you through all life endeavors and bless all your heart desires and plans for the indigent”.

Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme also took a tour to the Secretariat of the Council which is located at 172 upper chime new heaven, sabbath bus stop.
He was briefed on the progress so far and expectations which included renewal of office rent which is about 500k, equipping office with generator and computers to aid fresh graduates learn computer which will propel and add to their CVs during job application.
Onah went on to intimate the council’s patron on the need to create skill acquisition opportunity for interested indigenous students and graduates to foster Independence and eviction of social vices among Enugu State student community.
Chief Maurice Akueme in response pledged to support the council with the sum of N500,000 for renewal of office rent to enable the council maintain it’s shelter for students, he also pledged to take other needs up from there as time goes on.
He encouraged the students to remain law abiding and loyal to the Grand Patron Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
He said; “If the grand patron is my father and I am your father, then he is your grand father and any child who is not humble to his grand father will not receive the blessings of his father and other elders, so I encourage you to remain humble to your fathers”.
NACESS officials who were present include; Comr. Chris Ike Enemoh; National Welfare Director, Comr. Ojobo; National Contact and Mobilization Director, NACESS IMT Chapter President amongst others.
