Police Order Probe Into Death Of Kwara Hotel Manager

The Kwara State Police Command has ordered a probe into the death of a hotel manager, identified as Mr. Michael Olagunju, who was allegedly beaten to death by a group of people in the state capital, Ilorin.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, September 28, 2023, at the hotel located in the Adewole area of Ilorin, has sparked outrage among residents of the state.

According to eyewitnesses, Mr. Olaiya was beaten to death by the group of people, who were reportedly armed with sticks and other dangerous weapons.

The reason for the attack is still unknown, but the police have said that they are investigating the incident and that all those involved will be brought to justice.

The spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Ilorin on Thursday.

He said that the police have recovered the body of Mr. Olaiya and that it has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

SP Ajayi also said that the police have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident and that they are currently under interrogation.

He appealed to residents of the state to remain calm and to provide the police with any information that could lead to the arrest of the other suspects involved in the attack.

The death of Mr. Olaiya has come as a shock to many people in Kwara State. He is described as a kind and hardworking man who was always willing to help others.

His family and friends are devastated by his death and have called on the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.
