Five  Unknown Gunmen Caught In Anambra And Beaten To Stupor Over ₦750 Food

The city of Ekwulobia, Aguata local government area of Anambra State on Wednesday witnessed what could go as a Nollywood script when five guys notorious for eating free food in local restaurants met their waterloo.

According to a story making the rounds on social media, the ‘foodlums’ had hitherto gone to Amaokpala road, ate and threatened the woman with “Mazi Nnamdi kanu is in Court and you’re here selling food” and left without paying for their food.

They went to Ekwulobia today to do the same thing, after eating #750 each, they stood up to leave and the woman requested for Money, they repeated the same line: “Mazi Nnamdi kanu is in Court and she’s opening her shop”.

One of them allegedly brought out a dagger and threatened to pour her food claiming they’re unknown gunmen, unknown to them that the lady selling the food is their match and prepared for them.

She held one of them by his shirt and insisted they can only leave without paying her if they kill her.

She started screaming and people doing clean up in their frontage showed up and the ‘unknown foodlums’ were thoroughly beaten and 4 of them confessed to be students of oko Polytechnic, while the remaining one graduated from the same institution 2 years ago.

They pleaded that they pose as unknown hoodlums just do this to eat because of the bad economy of Nigeria. They were handed over to the local vigilante.

Efforts by charityreporters to confirm the veracity of the story failed as the police spokesman said he’s not aware of the development and enjoined the victims to report the matter to the nearest police station for proper investigation.

“I don’t have such report before me. I urge the victims of this incident to go to nearest police station and report. This will help us to identify the hoodlums and possibly arrest them.

“Meanwhile our patrol has been extended to the aforementioned area and the situation is closely monitored please,” DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said in a text message to our correspondent.
