While many were busy having fun, hanging out and rocking life with lovers, family and friends, The Maurice Akueme Foundation found it’s love worthy to be celebrated in the actual definition of Love by St Valentine with the elderly, the orphans, the poor and the less privileged.

On Valentine’s day 14th February, 2021 The Maurice Akueme Foundation (MAF) showered its love through many different shades.

While the National Coordinator of the foundation; Hon Mike CJ Madu(Gburuchi) led members to visit Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Elderly, Awkunanaw and “Blessed Luigi Maria Monti Community Home for Orphans and Needy Children, Independence Layout; the grassroot team had its Val’s day outreach to the oldest people in Ukana, Awhum and Abor, the Calabar( Cross River (state) and Benue( Benue State) teams as well had theirs with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

While many misunderstand the Valentine concept, many abuse the opportunity of showing love to the needy, many see it as another opportunity to commit many sorts of atrocities all in the name of love.

However, evidently; the Maurice Akueme Foundation in its preaching for love argues that it is only the needy that deserves love at this moment of love.

According to the MAF National Coordinator while making some presentations on the valentines day visit;

He condemned the show of love through ungodly means.

He encouraged even lovers to reserve themselves for the day but take a visit to the needy while they ask for God’s mercy to strengthen their plans and good heart desires.

Preaching during the visit to the home for the elders and the needy children; the directors in charge both made their presentations relatively pointing at charity at times like this.

They submitted that they have been forgotten by many who have decided to take on self love and other ungodly manners of love.
