As Nigerians gear towards 2023 general elections; a lot of rhetorical questions has been going on amongst the electorates.
Who will represents us?
Who will bring us out of the economic morass the country is trapped in?
The Who factor is the burning issue on the lips of the electorates; topping all the National dailies’ headline.
The season of politicking and political crossovers are already taking place. Politicians are aligning, re-aligning and building bridges. We see seemingly political enemies coming together for a common purpose. Power! After all, there’s this popular saying that in politics, there is no permanent enemy nor permanent friend but permanent interest.
In Enugu, the issue of zoning is on the front burner of every political discuss.
In all these dramas as they play, the electorates are always the badly wounded victims. They campaign, they vote and sometimes make enemies for some politicians; at the end, nothing to show.
These circle has been likely a norm in the Nigeria’s political space. People now accept that the best thing is to find one politician to do “itimkpu” for because of the immediate gain: party wrappers, party money etc.
2023 is going to be a defining moment in the politics of Nigeria and Enugu West in particular. It is going to be a time to really change the narratives and inject new system called AKUEMEMATICS THEORY
The Akuemematic theory formular is simple!

This is a man who has sacrificed his personal fortunes for the sake of the people. These he does cutting across tribe, religion and ethnicity.
From his antecedents, Maurice Emeka Akueme has shown truly, what humanity is all about. All these he has done without government input and support.
As a private man his economic perception is about the people. He believes that everyone has the right to food, to education, to good health care and more. That, he has demonstrated through his NGO; The Maurice Akueme Foundation (MAF).
Unlike most career politicians, Maurice Emeka Akueme’s achievements are not just perceptions but realities even though the claim that perception is reality has long been a maxim in politics. He has come to change that age-long narratives.
As the 2023 general elections in Nigeria is gathering momentum, how the people feel about their well-being, and the country’s economy must be seriously emphasised. What we need are patriots than politicians. We need technocrats than motivational speakers. We need someone who understands the language of the people and their needs. Someone who can identify and have been identifying with the people. Too many discordant tunes and fake promises has come to the foreground again. But is perception really reality? Or does reality matter this time— regardless of how people feel?
Taking an X-ray of the Nigeria’s economy and how it affects the people of Enugu West as the relationship between economic performance and electoral results is one of the better tested and understood findings in political science. But for instance: When the economy is growing or the people are well represented, the ruling party tends to be rewarded with more votes. When there’s a recession, party tends to get tossed from office.

This is not time to hold sway to routine political shenanigans based on empty promises.
As far as politics is concerned, most politicians will come up with false perception about someone which is against the reality.
Research shows that persistent false perceptions
influences choice of candidates on voters. People can come to believe something false if it is reinforced by their information networks, and efforts to dislodge false information through fact-checking or other means can sometimes cause a person to dig into their beliefs instead of change them.
Whatever anyone will say. Chief Maurice Akueme is the answer 2023.
This reflects the mood of the people of Enugu West Senatorial District. Reality still holds a lot of sway in our choice come 2023.
