Our Councillors Deserve Aides ~ Maurice Emeka Akueme

An aide according to the Cambridge Dictionary is a person whose job is to help someone important, such as a member of a government or a military officer of high rank, etc.

It is in this regard that, in his message to Enugu West Councillors, he proposed to get each councillor at least one aide and at most two under his pay roll, while some of the councillors have projected their list(s), some are yet to do so.

Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others.

Three reasons why people are motivated to be creative:

1. Need for novel, varied, and complex stimulation…

2. Need to communicate ideas and values…

3. Need to solve problems.

In order to be creative, you need to be able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective. Among other things, you need to be able to generate new possibilities or new alternatives.

Tests of creativity measure not only the number of alternatives that people can generate but the uniqueness of those alternatives, the ability to generate alternatives or to see things uniquely does not occur by change; it is linked to other, more fundamental qualities of thinking, such as flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity or unpredictability.

No one doubts the fact that when a creative person leads, problems die a natural death.

Maurice Emeka Akueme is a creative leader, craving for a political position such as the Senate to dole out more of this creativity.

In his creative mindset, his reasons for adopting such a unique step are too numerous but however to mention just few.

He said getting an aide reduces stress for the leaders in the grassroots who are hinged with such jumbo responsibilities to deliver services that meet the needs of local communities. It will uphold the relevance or importance of the local leaders and popularise their efforts for future endeavors and political projections. It will reduce social vices by creating job for lucky youths and keeping them busy; for the devil sees opportunity in any idle mind. It is also a way of getting these youths to discover their talents, for example, those who will work as media aides who has never done such before will discover that skill, it will market their faces and unfold opportunities to meet and know dignitaries and as well expose and enlighten them to leadership, governance, and more. All these will be fanned into flame through the Maurice Emeka Akueme People First Initiative.

Maurice Emeka Akueme said these aides will be placed on monthly salary till the end of their tenures as councillors.

Ukana and Eke wards are already benefitting from this benevolence.

We all know a good wine when we taste it, we know what is real from what is fake, sentiments aside, Maurice Emeka Akueme is that man who WILL, who CAN give Enugu West Senatorial Zone that beautiful touch.

He is that bird that needs the voice to whistle loud, he is that fine wine we crave to taste.

Give him a chance to the Senate for the best interest of our Children and generation. He has that pure, open and flexible heart to give the best so why settle for just “good enough”.
