PDP Cries Foul Over Alleged APC Impersonation, Calls for Urgent Investigation

Nasarawa PDP Accuses APC of Impersonation, Calls for Probe

Impersonation Calls for urgent…..

The Nasarawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised an alarm over suspected members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) allegedly impersonating its officials. They have called on security agencies to swiftly investigate the matter and unveil those responsible for this purported deceit.

A prominent youth group, the Coalition of PDP Youths in Nasarawa State, which asserts its recognition by the party, convened a press briefing in Lafia on Friday. During the briefing, they accused the Judges of the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal of rendering a controversial verdict in favor of PDP’s candidate, David Ombugadu, based on religious sentiments.

Comrade Daniel Agbo, the Chairman of the youth coalition, expressed deep concern over what he sees as a compromise of merit in the tribunal’s ruling. He highlighted that out of the three Judges, two who were Christians ruled in favor of the PDP candidate, while the lone Muslim Judge supported the APC candidate. This, he argued, raised questions about potential bias based on religious affiliations.

The coalition is urging the stakeholders at the Appeal Court, especially the Judges, to thoroughly reevaluate the tribunal’s judgment. They insist that any review should be free from religious or any other form of sentiment that may have influenced the lower court’s decision.

The Nasarawa PDP’s concerns about alleged APC impersonation and the controversial tribunal ruling reflect the intensity of political dynamics in the state. Their call for a thorough investigation and impartial judicial review demonstrates a commitment to upholding fairness and justice in the electoral process. The outcome of any potential investigation or review will likely have significant ramifications for the political landscape in Nasarawa State.
