The PDP ward monthly meeting was held at Obodo Amankwo Eke, in Eke Town of Udi Local Government Area, vital issues concerning the progress of party and welfare of members was discussed.

Hon Johnson Aniekwe emphasized on the need for reconciliation while Dr Luke Mgboh also urged members to accept anyone who wishes to return to the party.

Hon Steve Igweze stressed on the need for everyone to return to PDP, he noted that Enugu state is PDP and the party is willing to accept everyone irrespective of political differences, interest and views prior to 2023 general elections.

Recall that prior to the 2023 general elections, some members of the Peoples Democratic Party defected to various other parties due to political interest and differences.

Other party stakeholders who made vital contributions during the meeting include; Chief Michael Oguama; Ezeakonobi of Eke(Fine Brother), Ôzô Uche Alor; SSA to Senator Osita Ngwu on constituency matters, Chief Alex Magbo; former Eke ward chairman, who all noted that elections are over and party must move on, and therefore made vital recommendations to stir the party forward.

In a bid to foster unity, the party leaders appointed a seven man reconciliation committee namely; Hon Steve Igweze (Chairman), Chief Sergius Aliozor, Hon Ngozi Ugwu, Ôzô Sopulu Ejeagha, Mrs. Okeh Ifeoma, Hon Ada Ozoude, Nonso Ogbozor as members.

They are charged with the responsibilities of gathering aggrieved party members and resolving issues, then reconnect them back to the party.

Various communities were also urged to invite old and new members for registration and proper documentation of members as membership registration has commenced.

Eke ward chairman, Hon Everest Chidobem recognized the presence of Eke ward super stake holders , Hon Mike Oguama, Ozor Uche Alor, Hon Ik Dilioha, Ozor Damian Ozoani, Chief Sergius Aliozor, Nze Johnson Aniekwe, Hon Steve Igweze, Hon Alex Magbo, Hon Ngozi Ugwu, Hon Philip Ogechukwu Eze, Ozor Vena Nwobodo, among others.

The party also recognized and congratulated all appointed aides of Senator Osita Ngwu from Eke, unanimously, the entire ward thanked Senator Osita Ngwu for showing Eke people so much love through favourable policies and appointments.
