Peter Obi Files Supreme Court, Appeals Upturn Of The PEPC Judgement

Obi and Atiku has vowed to remain resolute in their quest to challenge the process which gave Tinubu victory

The Labour Party Presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi has vowed to appeal the last presidential election results and ruling of the Presidential Election Tribunal Court with an appeal at the Supreme Court.

The appeal which comprises a 51 grounds is propelled as a result of Obi’s dissatisfaction with the read by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed his case challenging the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The former Anambra governor approached the Tribunal with his petition seeking to be declared the winner of the February 25 Presidential Election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), winner of the Presidential polls.

CharityReporters had reported that Peter Obi(LP) and Atiku Abubakar(PDP), among others, dissatisfied with the presidential election results, had filed their petitions in the Tribunal. The tribunal upheld the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, striking out the petition against him by Peter Obi and Atiku

Despite the Tribunal’s decision to uphold Tinubu’s emergence, Obi and Atiku has vowed to remain resolute in their quest to challenge the process which gave Tinubu victory in the polls in the highest court of the land, The Supreme Court.
