Bauchi State Worker Sacked for Extensive Fraud

In a significant move to curb fraudulent activities within its ranks, the Bauchi State Government has dismissed a Secretarial Assistant employed with the State Hospitals Management Board. The dismissed officer, Sani Mohammed Tirwun, was found guilty of a range of fraudulent activities, including falsification of records, issuing fake appointment letters, unauthorized staff posting, faking a Board Staff Officer’s signature, and altering posting documents.

The extent of Tirwun’s fraudulent actions was staggering, as he allegedly collected over N1 million from individuals seeking fake appointment letters. Additionally, he reportedly received N250,000, N200,000, and N150,000 from different individuals in exchange for unauthorized postings.

This incident highlights the commitment of the Bauchi State Government to maintaining transparency and integrity within its workforce. The decision to dismiss Tirwun sends a strong message that fraudulent activities will not be tolerated, and those found guilty will face appropriate consequences.
