Rains of Prayers as The Maurice Akueme Foundation Palliates Widows For Christmas and New Year (PHOTOS)
A widow is a woman who has lost her spouse by death and has not married again, this is otherwise known in the Christendom to be wives of Jesus Christ.
In our society today, most times widows are deserted and not considered as normal human being because the head(spouse) is no more interpreting that; that direct relationship with the family or society is cut off and as such people treat widows with despair and disrespect.
It is in this regard that a man of good will; Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme adopted widows who identify with him and those he can reach through personal efforts to become his mothers, wives and responsibility.

Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has maintained a very distinct relationship with widows in Nigeria especially those of Enugu State.
This act has propelled him to appoint Special Assistant/adviser on widows and retirees in person of Lady Angela C. Enemoh who is also a widow. His wants and desires to assist widows in any way possible has also propelled his establishment of the Maurice Akueme Foundation Widows Care Initiative, Widows Housing Scheme which is already constructing shelters for widows in the rural areas, most recent/ongoing is the construction of a two room and parlour for a widow in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
He has also provided welfare packages for widows and palliatives for Christmas and New Year, distributed to over 100 widows across Enugu state. Distribution of bags of rice among other food stuffs was done on 24th of December 2021 at Udi Local Government Secretariat.
Addressing the widows on 24th Lady Enemoh who mobilised the widows for the day made it clear that Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme is only an individual giving gigantic aid to the government of all levels to reduce hunger, hardship and put smiles on their faces.
Akueme who was contacted via video chat hailed the widows for their constant prayers towards the foundation and encouraged them to join other masses to smile during the season, he wished them well and as well approved refreshment and stipends for transportation of themselves and their gifts.
