As we cry, and our eyes turn red, the same thing happens to the image…
Catholic faithfuls in Mexico were left in awe after witnessing a real-life ‘miracle’ of the weeping statue of the Virgin Mary – a startling event captured on film.
The alleged miracle is said to have occurred in a church in El Canal, a community in the state of Colima, as reported by Mail Online.
Hundreds of believers and onlookers flocked to the spiritual statue in hopes of witnessing the Virgin Mary shedding tears.
A video posted on social media showed droplets of water falling from the eyes of the statue and streaming down its face.
Some claimed that the statue’s eyes turned red as tears flowed.

“Similarly, as we cry, and our eyes turn red, the same thing happens to the image,” a resident of the area, Victor Ramos, was quoted as saying by the magazine.
Others have continued to associate Mary’s tears with the ongoing violence in the state of Colima this year.
According to Mail Online, as of October, there have been 702 confirmed intentional homicides reported by the Colima Prosecutor’s Office.
The tears of the statue have led viewers to believe that she is trying to symbolize peace in a violence-ridden community.
In April, the Vatican’s university in Italy resolved to investigate ‘extraordinary events’ worldwide, including ‘weeping’ statues of the Virgin Mary, apparitions, and paranormal occurrences, under a new voluntary investigative initiative.
