Abduction of Prof. Cyril Ndifon

Gunmen have abducted Prof. Cyril Ndifon, the suspended Dean of Law Faculty at the University of Calabar. The incident took place at his residence in Akpabuyo, Cross River State. Ndifon, who had been facing allegations of sexual harassment, had previously reported being followed by masked individuals, heightening concerns for his safety.

Speaking on the incident, Ndifon’s son, David Ndifon, confirmed the abduction, recounting how armed assailants invaded their home, firing shots and threatening the family. The abduction occurred between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
