Laycon Speaks Out on Industry Bullying, MohBad’s Death

Laycon, the winner of Big Brother Naija Lockdown, has spoken out about industry bullying, the death of his colleague Mohbad, and living with sickle cell disease in a recent interview.

Laycon said that industry bullying is a real problem in the Nigerian music industry, and that he himself has been a victim of it. He said that some people in the industry try to use their power and influence to intimidate and bully others.

“I’ve been bullied in the industry,” Laycon said. “People have tried to use their power and influence to intimidate me. But I’ve learned to stand up for myself and to not let anyone bully me.”

Laycon also spoke about the death of his colleague Mohbad, who died in December 2022. Mohbad was also a victim of bullying, and Laycon said that his death is a reminder of the dangers of industry bullying.

“Mohbad’s death was a tragedy,” Laycon said. “He was a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. But he was taken away from us too soon because of bullying.”

Laycon also spoke about living with sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease is a blood disorder that can cause a variety of health problems, including pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath. Laycon said that living with sickle cell disease has been challenging, but that he has learned to manage his condition and live a full life.

“Living with sickle cell disease has been challenging,” Laycon said. “But I’ve learned to manage my condition and live a full life. I’m grateful for the support of my family and friends, and I’m determined to inspire others who are living with sickle cell disease.”
