The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has been appointed to chair a committee to resolve the feud between the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, and his deputy, Agboola Ajayi.

The committee was set up by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) at a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, September 29, 2023.

The committee is expected to meet with Akeredolu and Ajayi in a bid to resolve their differences and ensure that the APC remains strong in Ondo State ahead of the 2023 governorship election.

The feud between Akeredolu and Ajayi has been a major source of concern for the APC leadership. The two have been at loggerheads over a number of issues, including the running of the state government.

The APC CECPC is hopeful that the committee led by Masari will be able to resolve the feud and bring Akeredolu and Ajayi together. The party is also confident that the committee will succeed in its mission, given the experience and stature of its members.

The reconciliation effort is coming at a time when the APC is preparing for its national convention, which is scheduled to hold in October 2023. The party is keen to resolve all internal disputes before the convention in order to present a united front to its members and the Nigerian public.
